I am thoroughly disgusted this Sunday, as I wanted to do a nice photo-essay on Hurricane Rita.... only to discover that there are very few images posted in the public domain, at least that I could find. the image above is a floater.... leftover from Katrina (and a mighty fine leftover at that).... and here's the rest of what I came up with this week whilst searching for images....
here's a shot of the Red Cross bringing in an emergency toilet. they've got it all wrong, though; you need food first, to make shit for the toilet....
by the way, here's the only image I could find for Oofty Goofty.
how about a dead dog? no doppler images to post, but the media sure loves a good dead animal....
.... and here's his buddy Rex.
Rex didn't make it out either....

.... I guess this nun took a tree limb to the skull
in all that high wind.
this is Our Lady of Perpetual Suffering. this image actually came up in an image search for "Hurricane Rita"....
....and so did this one. this is why your mom told you not to stick your head between the stair posts....
I found so few photos from Rita, I have to use this image from a barbeque I went to.... as decorative filler material.
these fish were also at the barbeque.
no, they weren't on the menu.
.... and this is how I feel about the news services in America. I couldn't even find a picture of the interstate cookout they had on the old "Oxygen Bus".
yep, news coverage in America sucks because it's so biased.
